VIDEO: Police cordon around houses on edge of Bradford city centre

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing at a property on the outskirts of Bradford city centre.

A 41-year-old man is currently in critical condition in hospital after having emergency surgery following the incident

Police were called to an address on Easby Road, in the Morley Street area, at 11:16pm yesterday after reports of an injured man.

When officers arrived they found the man with “a number of stab wounds to his abdomen.”

He was taken to hospital for surgery and is currently in a critical condition.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of Attempt Murder and enquiries remain active and ongoing.

There is a police cordon around a number of properties around the address, opposite the Trinity Green Campus of Bradford College, this morning.

A number of officers and police vehicles remain at the scene.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Ryann Bragg said: “We are currently working to establish the full circumstances leading to this incident and we remain in the early stages of our enquiries.

“Local Neighbourhood Policing Team officers will be patrolling the area speaking to people and providing reassurance.

“I would ask anyone with information or any further witnesses to this serious incident to contact us on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
