Snow and ice forecast for Friday

SNOW could be on the way according to forecasters at the Met Office.

The organisation has issued a yellow warning for snow and ice in Bradford and parts of West Yorkshire on Friday.

Up to 5cm of snowfall is expected but some areas in the north west and Scotland could see 20cm of snow.

The Met Office is also warning people that temperatures are likely to drop below freezing overnight causing hazardous icy services.

They said this may cause travel delays on roads and public transport.

Forecasters say there is also an 80% chance of sleet or snow on Sunday afternoon and temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of 2 degrees.
