An area of pavement (pictured) on a pedestrian crossing in Browgate gave way in September causing the large cavity.
Baildon Town Council say work has been paused until Monday, November 20, while the construction team wait for new culvert pipes to be delivered.
Louanna Winch, Council clerk, said: “Together with the Confined Space Team, they will begin work to clean out and line the culvert with new pipes.
“As there are concerns on the stability of the culvert, the team will be working together, under the close supervision of Bradford Council’s structural engineering team.
“Once the pipes have been laid and successfully joined to the rest of the culvert, work will begin to fill in the hole and restore the car park.”
