Man found dead near railway line is named

An inquest is due to open today into the death of a man found close to a railway line in Bradford.

The man has been named as 23-year-old Daniel Paul Collins, from Keighley.

Emergency services were called to the incident near the Mill Lane signal box just after 9am on October 8, but Mr Collins was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency services responded to a report that a man had been struck by a train.

Mill Lane signal box is near the main line in and out of Bradford Interchange where the line to Leeds diverges from the line to Halifax.

Services had to be suspended for a short time after the incident and there was a police presence at the Interchange. A spokesman for British Transport Police said earlier this week that the death was not being treated as suspicious.
