JAILED: Dad-of-two acted as ‘bagger’ in drugs trade

A FATHER-OF-TWO who acted as a “bagger” in the drugs trade to pay back debts from his own cocaine habit has been jailed today for 28 months.

Ferrekh Ejaz (pictured), 29, said he had agreed to prepare bags of drugs for street dealers after being threatened and then beaten up by those who he owed around £2,000 to.

Prosecutor Abdul Shakoor told Bradford Crown Court that on June 14, police executed a warrant at Ejaz’s address on Tower Road, Shipley, recovering 195 wraps of heroin and 56 wraps of crack cocaine – worth a total of £2,790 – with £945 in cash also seized.

Ejaz had pleaded guilty to two charges of possessing class A drugs with an intent to supply and the possession of criminal property.
