West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has admitted the 4-0 defeat to Manchester United has left his player extremely low on confidence.

The Red Devils were in dominant form and fully deserving of the scoreline at Old Trafford, with the Hammers barely putting up a fight.

But Bilic insists his charges must regain their focus immediately to ensure the loss is just a one off.

He said: “It shouldn’t affect our confidence, but it will. We are very low at the moment and the players feel very bad.

“We have no other option and we have an obligation to pick ourselves up prepare for the second game of the season against Southampton.”
