Tottenham transfer news: Barkley wants to join Spurs despite wage structure

Ross Barkley wants to join Tottenham and is willing to take a pay cut in order to do so, despite the pay row surrounding the club.

Earlier in the week Danny Rose revealed he is not paid what he is worth, but that will not deter Barkley, according to The Sun, who is reportedly willing to accept a £70,000-a-week deal.

The 23-year-old reportedly snubbed a £100,000-a-week contract at Everton and manager Ronald Koeman later revealed the player is not part of his plans.

Tottenham can offer Champions League football, having finished second in the Premier League last season, and Barkley wants to prove himself at the top level and cement a place in the England side.

Additionally, the club are close to signing Ajax’s Davinson Sanchez in a £35million deal.
