Opening date set for Exchange Ale House in Market Street, Bradford

A BRADFORD city centre pub will reopen later this week.

Bradford Brewery has taken over the Exchange Ale House, which has been empty for the past four years, on a lease from Trust Inns.

The Exchange, which is below the Wool Exchange in Market Street, had fallen into a state of disrepair and an extensive refurbishment is now being carried out.

While some new features have been added, many others including the vaulted brick barrel ceiling and flagstone floor, have been retained.

It will open to the public on Thursday, August 17, from noon.

The pub, run by manager Berry Jagoda (pictured), also has plans for occasional music nights, a quiz and other events at the venue.

Bradford Brewery will use the bar to showcase its Made of Bradford brand, selling a selection of keg and cask ales.
