Jurgen Klopp has added pace in the forward ranks, with Mohamed Salah’s arrival from Roma, while Scotland defender Andrew Robertson has arrived from Hull City and looks set to get his opportunity at left-back.
But will Coutinho stick around with Barcelona courting him so heavily?
Liverpool’s current first choice XI:
Klopp has seemed to prefer a 4-3-3 while at Liverpool and Salah is almost certain to be a first-team regular.
Robertson gets the nod at left-back, despite Alberto Moreno’s improved form and James Milner’s impressive – yet strange – turn in the postion.
Another question remains in goal with Simon Mignolet, Loris Karius and Danny Ward all vying for the number one spot.
While Ward has impressed, and could earn the position long term, you would expect Mignolet to stay put as number one stopper courtesy of his form at the back end of last season.
Liverpool’s potential first choice XI after the transfer window closes:
However, with the money likely to come the Reds’ way they can certainly use it to strengthen their squad with two big signings.
Virgil van Dijk, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool for several months, looks likely to leave Southampton and would be a crucial signing for the Reds as the defence still needs fixing.
Additionally RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita could be on his way to Liverpool – as long as his club finally accept an offer for him.
